Privacy Policy

VisaWisely ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit visawisely.com and how we use it. Plain English where possible.
What we collect
Automatically (when you visit any page)
- Anonymous analytics: pages viewed, browser type, country (city-level only), referrer URL, time on page. Collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no personal identifiers.
- Server logs: IP address (truncated for storage), user agent string, timestamps. Used for security and debugging only. Retained for 30 days.
When you take the visa quiz
- Quiz answers: stored locally in your browser only. We do not transmit your quiz answers to our servers unless you opt in to email results.
- Email address (optional): only if you choose to receive your quiz results by email. Used for that purpose only and the occasional newsletter (with one-click unsubscribe).
When you click affiliate links
- Affiliate partners (e.g., Wise, SafetyWing, Airalo) may set cookies on their own domains to track that you arrived from VisaWisely. We do not see or control these cookies. Their privacy policies govern that data.
What we don't collect
- We do not use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.
- We do not run advertising trackers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share email lists.
- We do not collect payment information (we don't sell anything directly).
Cookies
VisaWisely itself sets only essential cookies (e.g., language preference). We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Affiliate partner cookies are set on their domains when you click their links — those follow each partner's own policy.
Third-party services we use
- Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, analytics) — see Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Resend (email delivery, if you opt in to quiz results) — see Resend Privacy Policy
- Affiliate partners (only when you click their links): SafetyWing, Wise, Airalo, and others. Each has its own privacy policy linked from their sites.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Delete any personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@visawisely.com. We respond within 30 days.
Data retention
- Anonymous analytics: 6 months
- Server logs: 30 days
- Email subscriber list: until you unsubscribe
- Quiz answers: stored only in your browser, never on our servers (unless you opt in to email)
Data security
All traffic to visawisely.com uses HTTPS. Email subscriber data is stored encrypted at rest with our email provider. We do not store payment data, identification documents, or any data classified as "sensitive personal information" under GDPR.
International transfers
Our servers are operated by Cloudflare, with global edge presence. Data may be processed in the United States, European Union, or other regions. Cloudflare uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for cross-border transfers under GDPR.
Children
VisaWisely is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, contact privacy@visawisely.com and we will delete the data immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page for at least 30 days. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
